Ian is a Christian psychologist who trained at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia (1985-1993). Before becoming a psychologist he was firstly a trainee Industrial Chemist working in the food industry. Then he moved into primary school education in state and non-government schools, spending 14 years in the latter. From a position as a foundation principal of a Christian School he was awarded a government scholarship and did his PhD in counsellor training. The focus of his PhD study was to study the qualities of high versus low rapport segments in counselling role-play sessions between counsellor-trainees with 'coached' clients. |
